Our programming started shifting from low level to higher level applications with the acceptance of MIDI and allowing a computer to musical instrument relationship. Our applications included full screen synthesizer editors and librarians for various pieces of MIDI equipment. As well, our shift into the customer service area commenced with the programming of various databases for various private colleges. Further strengthened in this shift was the development of a full fledged customer service app for an aluminum siding cleaning business, which was met with great acceptance throughout the company. The owner often stating that our applications were "printing money" for him. From there, more and more support type of applications were written for companies, such as EDS, for onsite techs to keep track of what service inventory they needed as well as what was on order for calls, as well as Bombardier Aerospace, for keeping track of help desk calls and responses, along with 3rd party responses. When the Internet went public, we were ready for the World Wide Web, already versed in HTML and Perl. With the childlike approach of what can we make this thing do, our development diversed between the desktop and Internet, looking for ways to marry the two. The arrival of Java brought great opportunities to do just that. Not wanting to lose track of our personal desktop programming, we developed applications, such as TaskMaster for the Mac, which handled the launching and execution of applications and scripts automatically, at programmed times. As the Internet grew, so did the possibilities. We have developed various customized eCommerce systems, the ReplacementFinder engine between insurance adjusters and participating vendors, dealer searching for zip codes, airport check-in kiosks, as well as information kiosks for various auto manufacturers and shows and much more. Along with the growth of the Internet came the process of reinvention. We managed to take our other aspects of life that we loved so much and incorporated them into Interactivity Unlimited. So alongside our programming, we also brought in our activity in the music community and compose, record and arrange soundtracks as well as work with other artists in the business. We round this off with business photography. We're also experts with Flash video on the Internet. After all, we wrote the book on it (actually, we wrote two). We've also put it to use in our kiosk applications, as well as online. Today, we develop and support systems written in Java, PHP and Python on the back-end along with HTML/CSS/JavaScript as well as Flash ActionScript on the front end. We have teamed up with numerous organizations with one focus in mind: bringing their ideas to life with today's innovation mixed with a programming discpline and experience carried over a few decades. This is what makes our clients look good. |
Interactivity Unlimited was founded in 1985 as The Computer Software Specialists, from a passion for software programming of low-level communication drivers for hardware modems. With a knowledge of Assembly Language, Action! and C, we were bridging the gap between hardware, previously considered inaccessible, and common communications software and bulletin board systems. In a span of weeks, our communications drivers achieved worldwide status and recognition.
